About the Author
Houston native Ikechi Ojore grew up in the heart of Houston’s creative scene, cultivating his talents under some of Houston's most influential musicians, poets, and artists. A graduate of Texas Southern University, with emphasis in music education, he went on to study at the world renowned Berklee College of Music. Ojore has traveled the world as a musician with various artists such as Bel-Ami, Tobe Nwigwe, Brian McKnight and Chante Moore. He took his love of music to the classroom, shaping minds as a teacher and band director, in predominantly underprivileged schools, for over a decade. He has since focused his energy on exploring new mediums of art. He has sculpted this series of pieces to promote love, self reflection, and introspection. Ikechi does not describe himself as a poet, only a creative who appreciates the written word.
